The Cafe was the last building we visited on our tour through the city, and it held the most amazing stained glass windows we have ever encountered. It was enormous and constructed entirely from coloured glass arranged end on. The cafe was built on the banks of the River, were residents would have been able to come and take out the leisure boats. Outside where some vending machines, the ‘peoples water’, that brought tear to the eye of our guide as he fondly remembered them from his time growing up in the USSR. We stood and admired the silence of the area and slowly made our way back to the minibus to return to the hotel for one last night of cheap beer.
