In 1986, no one was told of the danger that they faced when the plant exploded. 25 years later, there is a fear that the cheaply built sarcophagus will collapse and cause another disaster. This was the closest we were allowed to the plant, as radiation was high, very high, and the sound of Geiger counters adding their own beat to the atmosphere.
